Hi!!!!

Its been like ages since I don´t blog and the blog challenge at twopeas was perfect for my "comeback" to blogworld.

Aaahh so many things have happened and yet I have done so little that I look back and say; What the heck happened in six months? Well let me tell you:

I got a new job wich now I don´t have because many many reasons. Lets just say my life at the time is not meant for a job that takes me away for so many hours (about 13 hrs a day) and many of my other responsabilities were suffering because of this, plus we realized that instead of making money we were sort of loosing because of lunch, gas etc.

So as of right now I´m a SAHKPM (Stay At Home Kitty and Puppy Mommy) I would not mind it if it changes but I wont have a job that takes me away from home so long.

I´ll certainly be posting more but I wont make the internet my home, I like that the way it is now that we go out more, and are starting to craft again and also getting some goodies (wich we didn´t do for a long time) and plan to be much more involved in some other issues that are important to me.

One thing I don´t plan to stop doing is reading blogs and reading what my blog buddies have to say, I missed you so so so much!!!!

So I´ll see you around the blogosphere and I can´t wait to show you what I´m working on right now.

Take care and have a fun week!

10 of my best ideas!

And here are 10 of the best ones wich is the 2peas Blogger Challenge for tuesday:

10. Saying to my mom she loved my nieces more than me so she would buy me stuff, I was 12 sneaky and greedy (and jealous too), not proud of it but I did it.

9. Instead of being a "Quinceañera" I went to study english to Canada for a month at a summer camp, yes I was nerdy like, that studying during the summer was fun for me.

8. Never learned to iron so no one would say, could you please iron this for me....sorry don´t know how (sneaky again soooorry)

7. Learning Paint Shop Pro, at the time it was to make siggies, but it changed my life in so many ways, I´m so glad I learned to master it....now I want to learn Photoshop.

6. Scrapbooking!, Is the perfect creative outlet since there is not a "right" way to do it and is a very forgiving craft is awesome for me you don´t have to be perfect just make it look good (at least to you)

5. Speaking english, oh my god the things you hear when someone who doesn´t know you speak english starts yapping, good stuff, ohh you also can understand a whole side of the population and is awesome to know another language (but the gossip ohhh my!)

4.Waiting until I was older to have sex, I simply did not want to be an statistic or a teen mom, not that there is anything wrong with that just wasn´t my style so I waited until I was financially secured and could take the full responsability of having a baby and then I did well you know lol.

3. Getting a boob reduction when I was 18, one of the best things I did and so happy I did it, so worth the pain and discomfort.

2. Blogging! I have met so many awesome people, learned awesome stuff, joined cool challenges and started actually making layouts again that is one of the best ideas I´ve ever had, all the blogs I read inspire me and I love reading about other peoples lifes and day, one of my favorite parts of the day for sure.

1. Loving me and accepting me, this year I have taken more pictures of me than the last 10 years all together, in my 30s I´m really starting to love me, being proud of me and realizing I´m quite the hot chick when I want to, love looking at my pics if only I could get a cheek reduction now! LOL!

And on that note I made this layout tonight. Today was a very weird day I was feeling very antsy and had like ants crawling on my skin so I took the afternoon off and came home and scrapbooking made me feel a lot better, still feeling a bit weird but much better.

I made this layout my first 8.5x11 and it was a lot of fun to do, took those pics today and love how they look I´ve been taking tons of pics to scrapbook during our crop on saturday.

(ETA A better picture)

I used MM black cardstock, American Traditions Lime Texture cardstock, Oriental Trading Chipboard and MM clear alphabet "Funkie Lizzie".

My dearest closest friend

2Peas Blogger:
How did you meet your closest friend?

I met her in kindergarden, yep I was crying my little eyes out because my mommy abandoned me there like an old piece of cloth and she approached me rubbed my arm and said "Stop crying your mommy is going to be back soon" and she was right but ever since Julia has been a name often mentioned next to mine, we have been trough a lot together, had a couple of fights one about which mommy was prettier, hers or mine? Yeah we still don´t know about that one. But I can tell you one thing she is the best, she can make you laugh even if you are having the worst day of your life and is tons of fun.

I have no idea why she looks so pissed in that picture, she is so cheery all the time, we are six years old in that pic and "graduating" from kindergarden. (sorry about the poor quality of the pics I took a pic of the pic lol).

Ah! She looks a bit happier in this one still not all the way herself, but she is a total goofball and I love her for it.

The funny thing is that life keeps us busy and we loose touch for years and then we get back with our friendship like we just saw each other yesterday, we just reconnected about a month ago and it feels awesome to have her back in my life, she is awesome and today we went to the mall to hang out and then went to have some yummy mexican food with Diana and Tom and Debi.

As you can see she is way taller than I am, but who isn´t lol! We haven´t changed a bit, still fat crazy, beautiful and full of life and I hope we never ever change.

Make me a better blogger....

I´m serious.

What do you look for when you go to a blog? Is it content? Chit chat? Topics of interest? If I talk about how my day went, do you care? Should I avoid talking about my everyday life and focus on crafts and scrapbooking?

Should I take a class for grammar since I have a gazillion spelling errors? Should I at least use spell check? Cause when I talk in english (and sometimes in spanish) I do make mistakes (not often but I do) no spell check for that one and thats what I try to do here lol.

Do you like the color of my blog? What would you change? Do I have too much stuff on it (blinkies, banners, gadgets etc)? Am I too egocentric for having my sassy pic on my profile? Have you noticed how big my cheeks are?

About comments: What makes you leave a comment? Those of you who only lurk around here, Do you like the blog? Have you ever thought "Man, she is so full of herself"? Do you want me to reply to your comments on the same post or go to your blog and answer there?

Do you like the name of my blog? Should I change it to Pink crafter (I do loooove pink)? Should I go to typepad, wordpress?

Last, thank you for reading me, thank you to those of you who leave me comments and encourage me and say so many nice things, your comments big or small make my day, keep them coming!

2 peas Challenge: Close your eyes and write about what immediately pops in your head.

That was all of the above I was sitting here thinking about just that and decided to write it down.

I made a layout.....

Yes a real life 12x12 to put in an album kind of layout, must be my first layout in like a year or more lol, many thaks to Colleen for posting about Get your scrap on, who provided the inspiration, the theme was to scrap about pictures from past or recent travels, and while searching around I found these three and had a great time making the layout.

The journaling reads:
"We were so lucky to have such a nice Beast at the France Pavillion in Epcot. He was super goofy and really made me have a blast, pulling my hat, covering my eyes with his paw, but he was a super sweetie Beast, and yes Belle was very nice too, but Beast is going to be my favorite for a long time"

So I already sent my layout to Get your scrap on and I can´t wait for the next challenge it is a lot of fun!

My scrapbooking plans this weekend continue with my ALBM album and go to craft meeting tomorrow where I plan to work on the before mentioned album, thank you for your well wishes about the car accident, yes we are feeling a bit better and the wall is already being fixed.

Hope everyboy has a great weekend with awesome weather!!

ETA: Ehm I used Bazzill Cardstock in like a lavender shade, some orange and purple swirlie patterned paper, Chipboard and letter stickers from American Tradition designs and other chipboard from Oriental Trading, blue acrylic paint Politec (yes I always forget to do this)

Tool time!

This is in my opinion the the best toolbox out there, of course I am biased since is my toolbox but you can ask anybody I talk about it and take it to any crop big or small, is like my pacifier, if I have it I know everything is going to be ok and I have anything I could possibly need and I´ll give you a sample of this:

This is the top layer, also known as the pentahouse of the toolbox, I carry there inkpad for inking, eraser, set of brushes; the red is in the bathroom soaked cause I forgot to rinse glue and well I´m rambling never mind, also letter opener that works as a bone folder (cause I don´t have one!!!) fine tip markers in blue, red and black and fine tip sharpie, mechanical pencil and you can´t see it but white ink marker.

Then comes the inner removable tray tha hols twezers, waterbrushe, sandpaper, crochet hooks, sequins, glue and of course my rounder corner punch.

And the bottom part that has my Fiskateer scissors, I´m #1337 just in case you were wondering, Fiskars finger tip craft knife, tacky glue, glue dots, glue lines, staples, stapler, Olfa circle cutter blade, embossing pens, sharpener, rounder corner scissors etc.

Is a simple Truper toolbox completey see trough so I can see what I have there all the time and this has made the difference when I craft because I know exactly where everything is and I don´t loose time looking for anything and when I go to crops is super easy to carry around and doesn´t take that much space.

2Peas Blogger Challenge:
Do you have any spring projects you excited about?
Well the "A little bit me" book has me really excited and I blogged about it here yesterday so you can take an early look.

So how do you guys carry your tools an stuff to crops and other places??

Mexican Scrapbooking

Last week I did some scrapbooking shopping, now these are all mexican scrapbooking supplies so the names might not make a lot of sense, but remember I was telling you last week that we hardly ever find stuff? Well several stores are starting to carry some things like paper and some embellishments.

This paper is from Fantasias Miguel, I think this is their second set of designs, and I love the prints, they are fun, funky and simply different, only one problem the quality of the paper is like wrapping paper, very flimsy and glossy so it doesn´t work that well but you can still use it with cards and stuff, I really don´t like that sort of material.

This is a pack of paper from La Parisina, wich is a very important fabric store here in Merida, they focus on fabric and some other stuff for crafts and now they are offering some scrapbooking paper and embellishments, this pack of paper was barely 3 dollars the designs in the pattern paper are really pretty and it comes with 40 sheets of 12x12 , they also have baby boy and girl, and wedding I got this one cause I thought it was very versatile, the felt flowers are less than 2 dollars the pack of 3.

This baby boy kit was less than 2 dollars as well, and it comes with a mini album 6 pieces of 6x6 paper, rub ons and some dimensional stickers, really cute if you ask me, I think I´m going to use it to make some cards, and also the rub ons are in english.

There is another store in town that sells scrapbooking stuff, El Nuevo Fenix and they carry some chipboard and paper mostly from American Traditional Designs, and they have really nice stuff rub ons, chipboard letters, stickers so it feels good to go shopping and slowly finding stuff to craft with.

2Peas Blog Challenge:
Do you try out for Design Teams?

And the answer is no, I´ve never have tried, I doubt I´m good enough I´m too basic and since I don´t reside in the US it also makes it a bit harder, but maybe in the future I´ll have the nerve to try out for one just to know what it feels like, must be an awesome feeling knowing you get to be in one and play with fun scrapbooking stuff, oh man now I want to try for one lol.

Desires and mondays

First of all thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last post also known as the Award post and it makes me really happy that talented, busy and fun people take a minute of their lifes to read something I write specially since I know is not the best stuff out there. So thank you so much again!

We´ve been having some router problems at home wich means we have been sharing for hours the internet at home, we are getting wireless this week and hopefully that will be the end of it cause we are close to desperate is so annoying.

This weeks seems like a not so busy week, spring break is over and kids go back to school on tuesday wich means we´ll have some quiet at night since our neighbor´s kids who are adorable stay up really late running down the street, you know that people says that kids never go out to play and are always inside playing video games, well we live in the only street that has kids playing outside everyday!

This week should be a little better and plan to finally craft something, oh no wait I am crafting something I got started on a knitted triangle neck scarf, I love it cause it only started with 3 stitches cast on and then increase two each line so it looks really cool I´ll post a pic when is done.

2Peas Challenge: What do I desire?
  • A stable family
  • Ramen Noodle Soup
  • My own house
  • A job that I love
  • Go to NY
  • Crop a Dile Big Bite
  • A car
  • World Peace
  • A Digi Rebel
  • Copic Markers
  • No cellulite
  • The Sex and the City Delux DVD collection
  • Bread with no calories
  • No mondays!
And that is enough for now or you´ll think I ask for too much, have a great week everybody and happy monday!

A collage that makes me happy....

2Peas Challenge:
Are you the type of person who needs a new item in your hot little hands from a store or will you order online and wait for the item?

Well both, see here in Mexico where I live the availability of scrapbooking supplies is very rare we find some supplies in Office Depot, Office Max but is more like trimmers and some Fiskars products but we don´t get products like Cosmo Cricket or Basic Grey or Prima, so that is ordered so is not that I like ordering online but I have no choice, I have to pay a little higher shipping to get "cool" stuff, but is ok is actually cheaper to buy from the States and pay shipping than buying from LSS in other areas in Mexico (much more expensive).

When we found out about the Fiskars Stamp Press Kit being sold at Costco we ran there and got one about an hour after we´ve been told so we are an antxy bunch over here, but buying on line teaches you to be patient and that is a virtue and actually the main fear is that it will not arrive but we are starting to trust our mailman and being extra nice and friendly to him so he knows we are the crazy ones that order so much.

Also I made this collage and wanted to post it but I always forget so here it is, hope you like it, it makes me happy when I see it.

TGIW....!

aka....I don´t have to work thursday and friday!

Few things in life are as exciting as two whole days off from work specially consecutive, that sort of things makes me happy, thursday and friday we have crop at Doris house where I have no idea of what am I doing, so I have to search for a fast and easy projecto to do (I´m taking suggestions).

2Peas Challenge: Who is one person that changed your life?

That is a very easy question, Diana by far! See when I met her I was this dumb chick that used her computer to basically chat and do nothing with it, she is so amazing with graphics programs, etc that taught me how to proper use it, with her I learned what a giga was and what RAM meant, on top of that she also taught me the cool craft that is quilling (wich I´m not that good at) and that took it to the next level: Scrapbooking, she is the one that contacted her crafty friends to tell them about scrapbooking about organizing crops, with I learned what a trimmer was and how to cut paper with an xacto knife, and cheered when I did layouts (lousy as they were) and got supplies for me as often as possible. Is thanks to her that I have crafty friends like Doris and Erika, Doña Mary and Liz that continue to make me push to be better.

I always tell her that thanks to her I am me, but an improved version, smarter, more confident about crafting and whatever I want to do, be that polymer clay, soaps, bake cupcakes, or try jewelry she is always there for me to keep cheering and being supportive about anything I want to try (except getting my tongue pierced again, she is not supportive about that at all lol) so thanks to her I am who I am know, before her I was this person wasting her life in front of a t.v. now I get to waste it in front of my computer but learning new things, trying new things and crafting new things.

So Diana read this very well, Thank you without you I would be lost, stupid and totally un-artistic, you rock and you totally changed my life and continue doing that everyday don´t you dare stop!!

I am good at......

ETA: I totally misunderstood the 2peas blog challenge wich is: What is something you do well? So I´m sorry, but it sort of applies cause all those things I mention I do them well and some more than well. So again I apologize but really do need a nap and pronto!

In the words of Jack Nicholson in a Few Good Men "You can´t handle the truth" lol, but THAT is one of the things I am good at doing IT, my mother would say you can be good at anything if you put your mind to it, nope wrong! I tried to understand math, calculus and physics really did, put my mind to it and all and still I´m not good at it, forget good I´m really bad at it.

But this is a post about what am I good at and lets think, I´m good at rasing infant kittens as Zachy is happy, alive and kicking (and biting and scratching and getting into things he shouldn´t).

I´m good at being there, you need me I´m there, late at night or early in the morning, I´m good at remembering songs I like and really good at singing them while I drive and sometimes I even dance a little.

I am good at baking, cooking, sleeping (this I´m really good at), I want to say crafting but thats an opinion if I don´t say it then who will, I´m good at waking up early cause of fear of being late for anything, and also good at doing stuff in the computer.

I want to think there is more but I am so sleepy, we got home so late from work last night that barely slept at all and now I´m feeling it and me needs a little siesta.

Hope everybody has a great day!!!

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

Well we don´t celebrate St. Patricks day here in Mexico and besides is hectic day this monday we have some meetings at the office and doubt we can even have a beer or a bit of celebration, but everybody else please do have a great day

I reorganized a little my work area here and changed and shuffled a few things around, I think its neater and have my stuff closer to me, made some spring presentation cards and started altering my binder project.

Really looking forward to the couple of days off we get this week, only plan to scrap and do not much else, probably also work on my sewing basket project, wich I still can´t decide in the colors, probably something like blue and white just for change.

Ok I´ve been meaning to share this for quite sometime, cause nobody believes all the stuff I carry in my bag, so here it is, I´ll explain how the whole bag issue works:

First of all the contents of the bag:
  • My 2008 Pooh planner (my planner is ALWAYS a Winnie Pooh planner)
  • Glamour magazine (the magazine changes sometimes is Scrapbooks etc)
  • My iPod (also known as my other love)
  • Cellphone Sony Ericsson Z530i with a red felted flower charm.
  • My house and office keys
  • My red wallet with id, drivers license, pictures and sometimes even money.
  • Little makeup bag with eyeliner, lipstick color Redwood, lip gloss, all Mary Kay.
  • My smokes Benson & Hedges Menthol Lights where is the lighter you might ask, that is always in my jeans pocket.
  • Some pens, black blue and black marker
  • My netkey to check my balance online
  • Clorets gum
  • Non drowsy Dramamine (sponsored by Tom & Debi, thanks again!) I get car sick easily.
  • Opi nail polish color "I´m not really a waitress" (you never know when you could get a manicure)
  • Victorias Secret Pure Seduction body splash in a tiny perfume bottle.
  • iPod player for car
  • Lipstick from MK
  • Pressed powder Beige 400 MK
  • One felt hair clip
  • My knitting, complete with measure tape and tiny scissors.
  • Oxxo receipt probably for Diet Coke.
Now the tiny things go in a little purse inside the huge black bag so in case I need them I just grab that and jet, and all the rest stay in the huge bag. I think that works perfect for me and yes the black bag and tiny bag are also MK brand, my boss is an MK Director so I get tons of freebies and not so freebies (I love it!)

So share what you carry in your bag, would love to see it!! Have a great week everybody and a lovely St. Patricks day!

You know how....

You plan your day and then it turns out nothing like you planned? Well that seems to be the theme of the week, cause it was suppoused to be a very relaxed week, yeah right!!

Ok, vent over! Hey do you want to win a Cricut Expression? Well then head over the The Pink Donut and find the eggs the Easter Bunny hid in the posts and participate for a chance to win a Cricut Expressions, neat ha?

Ok Publicity over! I learned something new this week! In Mexico we have a type of paper called eggshell paper is a white textured very hard and thick cardstock, well my bigshot cuts that like buttah and so know I have my very own chipboard (it looks like chipboard, it feels like chipboard so it must be....chipboard) funny thing is it never ever crossed my mind to use this to cut, so Diana smart as she is mentioned this to me and yes awesome!!!

So besides cutting faux-chipboard and doing digi layouts for the Amazing Digi Scrapping Race I haven´t done a thing I want to try beading, been checking out videos at Plum and Verdigris the new channel at TvWeekly but the thing is I don´t wear jewelry either real or custom so what would I do with what I finish.

Ok some ramblings:
  • Is it wrong that I´m excited cause the New Kids on the Block are reuniting even if its for a split second?
  • Why is it when it comes to either shoes or scrapbook supplies, supplies always wins?
  • I´m counting the minutes to my days off next week, need some time off, is it my vacation time yet?
  • My monthly kit is not here yet, where is it? I want it!!!
  • Did you know I love Hellboy?, Man that is a good movie, love that huge red cat loving beast.
  • Littlest of the kitties has a paw hurt with has us giving him a pill every 24 hrs and trying to get him to lay down as much as possible, yes not realistic at all.
  • I want to get a tattoo so bad, even if its of a tiny thing like a little heart or something.
  • Tomorrow I must scrap, already looking for a project to do.
I made this layout today for the ADSR 3 and had to post it here, cause I simply love it, a few years back when I started using PSP and knew nothing about graphics program or whatever I am proud to say that learned it all on my own with tutorials that most of the time I didn´t understand but eventually I got it and was hooked and PSP 9 is my favorite of them all.

So the challenge was to have an interview with an object and I did it with my PSP 9 (my other love).

The journaling reads:

Me: Do you remember our first time?
PSP9: Of course I do, you were so nervous but eventually approached me and let go, from then on we were one.

M: Have I changed with you?
P: You are more confident and know me so well, feels good to be with you.

M: What is the best thing about you?
P: You know me, I´m reliable full of nice surprises never let you down and when you need help here I am for you.

M: Where do you see us in the future?
P: Happy, creating more stuff, growing together.

I simply love it, the look the journaling and yes my PSP 9 so I had to share it.

2 Peas Blog Challenge: What is the essential core of friendship?
TRUST.
I can say that as with a relationship if you don´t have trust you have nothing, and my very few friends I have I trust them completely, sure they are a bit crazy and some of them are weird but I love them like that and totally trust them.

Have a great sunday everybody!!!

Weird things about me

Sarah from 2paws designs just tagged me so here it goes;
Here are the rules:
  • Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
  • Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
  • Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
  • Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Seven (only seven?) weird things about me:
  1. I hate chocolate ice cream, the smell makes me gag.
  2. There are several movies that I know the dialogs of, talk about annoying while watching them with me, among them: Austin Powers, The Silence of the Lambs, 300.
  3. I can whip egg whites into perfect meringue just using a fork.
  4. Ever since watching "My name is Earl" I´m a strong believer of Karma.
  5. I love how it feels to get a tattoo (masochist much?)
  6. I hate to wear panties, don´t get me wrong I still wear them but if I had an option...commando it would be.
  7. My biggest crush growing up was, are u ready for this..... Walter Matthau.
If that is not weird then I don´t know what it is!

2Peas Challenge: Is creating "beautiful art" more important than the process of creating?
I would say no. I love the process and get kind of sad when its over and sometimes is artistic sometimes is purely commercial but is always fun to create it. I sometimes wish I could create more, specially mini albums and stuff but what am I going to do with 49 mini albums, I don´t know that many people that wants them! So one has to stop smell the roses and do something else.

I think this is a great explanation to all the people that wonders what a tattoo feels like sorry bout the F- word is not like I ever say it (LOL yeah right) anyway.

I have no idea who to tag so please all of you with a name that starts with A that read me answer the tag, or well at least 7 of you.

Lazy weekend

To say the least! Since friday afternoon we haven´t done anything even remotely productive and it feels so good lol!! For real I needed a break and while crafting is awesome resting is a must! So on friday we went to dinner with our friends the Kuhns and had a very good time, you can go to Debi´s blog to check the pics of the food and us, see that pretty banner in her blog, I made that ;) lol, you want one I´ll make you one too.

Oh but I said I had great news to share and here it is I am a writer for The Pink Donut a portal about reviews of everything that has to do with scrapbooking, so please check my reviews I got 3 up so far, Scrapbooks etc, Crafters Companion and Paper Clipping with Noell Hyman, go check them out and tell me what you think, I´m so excited lol. So thats what occupies my evenings now, when the house sleeps I write.

Also yesterday we didn´t go to craft meeting specially cause we needed the rest and to unwind a little wich we did, I´m slowly starting to master the fine art of cutting folded stuff on the Big Shot so it looks like a mini album, and I also joined my first monthly kit club, wich I am even more excited about I joined The Scraproom, I have been thinking about joining a club for over a year and this one has great customer service, and loved all the the things they offer so I can´t wait to get my first kit, is any of you a member? Did I choose right? Let me know about this.

Today I plan on not doing much, try to catch up on my writting and sort of play around with stuff, right now I´m like those kids who have all these toys and still doesn´t know what to do, is pathetic!

Also rented some movies to watch while I crafted (allow me laugh) so far I´ve watched 2 1/2 Pathfinder which is bloody but good, Miracle wich I cried at the end and The Perfume wich I have to finish and Batman Begins wich I rented just to check out Christian Bale (I know I´m bad lol)

Took some pics of the old magazines and made a tiny collage with them, I love them the love stories are so different than now, and the ads oh I plan to scan a lot and make tons of ATCs with that.

2 Peas Challenge: Wishlist from CHA: Crop a Dile Big Bite thats about it.
So hope everybody has a great sunday and a great week.

One whole month!!!!

Yes!!!! Zachary is one whole month old!! He is so active and cute and curious is such a sweet kitty and the older kitties love him to death (smother him to death sometimes too) I made him a litle "One month old photo session" and here he is!

Oh what the heck I´ll post one more!!!

Isn´t he adorable? Is so cute to see him playing everything is new for him and I´m so happy that he is slowly beginning o wean himself cause I really need a break I´m exhausted and if I smell kitten formula much longer I´m going to be ill. So the hard part is over.

I haven´t been crafting latey because of family issues (Diana´s family to be exact) way too long of a story but bottom line, her parents house is up for sale and we have been taking furniture and stuff out, so finally today was my day to go and check if there was something I wanted, I have to tell you it felt awfull walking into the house almost empty, I miss when her parents where there and would put Sinatra and have coffee with them, I specially miss her dad and feels weird to know I wont be driving him to visit Diana´s mom at the Hospice anymore, but I guess thats life, sad but life anyway.

So you would think I picked things of value, practical things, oh no not me, I grabbed about 20 old magazines I´m talking 1950 and so, and two more sewing baskets to alter (yey me!) Diana was cracking up when I told her "I can´t leave this magazines here they are begging me to take them, so I did" I´ll post pictures tomorrow they are soo pretty and smell sooo old!

So thats whats been going on in my life, I also have great news but I´ll post about them tomorrow when I really get into my system that is really happening so stay tuned!!

The weekend is almost here and that makes me happy cause I´ll start altering the sewing baskets yey!

2Peas Challenge: Is if you buy stuff for a certain project or you use what u already have.

And well here I found very little stuff for scrapbooking so I have to order online and if I need somethign I either, print it, wing it or adjust to what I have.

Mojo? Yes! Time? No

The 2 peas Challenge is show something I recently created and I´ve been doing it, so I´m going to share something I created a while ago.

This week has been a bit busy over here so I haven´t had a chance to actually do something crafty, or some project, hopefully tomorrow I´ll have a little more time and back to crafting it is.

But anyway I remember I had never shown this, is an altered can I did a while ago, I don´t know where it came from but I altered so Diana could put her mp3 player in it, so I did something super simple to it but really like how it looks.

This is what the tin can before being altered, cute but still needed some help.

And this is how it looks now, I think the paper was DCWV Stack 5 and I thought it went great for the mp3 player, music theme, I just covered it with Gesso and then also used diecuts that I had from a swap.

We also got this drawer for 12x12 paper that fit really well on the scrap furniture, except that the two I got are already full so we need to get another one for the rest of the paper and UFOs.

Hope everybody has a great day and have lots of time to play, hope I have some time to play too.

I´m an addict....

I have to confess, what is worst I don´t want to get better (at least not yet) my addiction is quite positive and not too expensive (yet), my addiction is too markers, good ones, cheap ones, fine tip, chisel, brush, permanent, water based, Sharpie, Copic ( wish I could be that lucky to have some) you name it I loooove them.

I currently have about 6 sets of markers, on monday I got those Bic Conté Visaquarelle, they are exactly the same thing as brush tip water based and were super cheap about 3 dollars the set of 10, but I saw some other ones Foray 24 ct. about 15 dollars, did not have enough money but I wanted them so I mentioned this to the other crafter that lives with me lol and she went and got them for me today, they are awesome, permanent markers, fine tip all the colors of the rainbow and soo nice, they are not super stinky and the colors are very vibrant.

My next goal some Copic here is an open letter to the Copic people:

Dear Copic People: I would love to get a set of your markers, I would love them and give them a good home, they would be the best gift I could have, they would be cherished and taken very good care of them and I would talk wonders about them here, you would never have to think how your markers are cause they would be with someone that cares so much for them. So if you have an extra set that needs a good home I would adopt them in a heartbeat, also if you want to send the airbrush system I would be set for life.
Thank you so much in advance
(A big fan of your markers)

Hey it could work!!! But for the time being I´ll be happy with the ones I have and can afford, next week I´ll get the Foray in extra fine tip and some Staedler, just cause they are cute!

2Peas Challenge:
How old would you be if you didn´t know your real age?

Mentally 9, Physically it varies....if I wear makeup over 30, if I don´t less than 25, so yes you guessed it I hardly ever wear makeup, actually mentally it varies too I guess in some things 60 and in some 17, so is a great mix.

Funny story: When I was living in Ca. I lived with someone who was 5 years younger than me (yeah I know cradle rober) so once on the bus really early some guy says to this person: "Oh you should take good care of your little sister, she looks so young and someone could take advantage of her" Yeah I was 24 supporting a family, robbing cradles for about 3 years and was totally independent, thats how young I can look.

Great day and is hump day!!!!

Got tagged and challenge!

I just got tagged by Karensue, this looks like a fun tag!

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tag 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 years ago: I was working as a Tour Director for EF Educational Tours, making an average of 3 tours a month when it was high season, I loved that job, got to meet so many cool people and made life long friends, I was having the time of my life, traveling and making my own money and spending it on things I loved.

Things on my to-do list today: Start the Jacobs ladder project from The Scrapbook Lounge and thats about it, need to write a couple of emails and read blogs.

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire: First paying off any debt I could have, put a lot into savings, donate a lot to charity, build my dream home, travel and buy all the craft things I would want.

3 of my bad habits: Smoking (only a couple a day), drinking lots of coca cola light (diet coke) and biting my nails.

3 places I have lived: Merida, Yucatan Mex, College Corner, OH; Whittier CA.

5 jobs that I have had: Roller blading instructor, Concierge at Hyatt Regency, Tour Director, Waitress, Assistant.

5 things people don't know about me: When I was in kindergarden I was the star, and sang on every school event, when I got into elementary school I decided to not do it anymore, I´m terrified of clowns, I am never late...I have a compulsion to always be on time rather get someplace one hour before than to be late, even the fact I´m very short and in terrible shape I am incredibly strong, I hate talking on the phone.

I´m tagging:
Benita
Noelia
Lynn

2Peas Challenge:
If you could go on a dream vacation, where would it be and with whom?

As I´ve stated before the whole Orlando thing, All Disney Parks, Universal, Sea World, Bush Gardens (well thats in Tampa but is close), staying for as long as it takes to really enjoy it, staying at a Disney resort and with my sweetie of course. Yeah I know not very imaginative but I swear is the most fun for me.

My confession book....

This weekend was very productive craftwise, because thats mostly what I did and it feels awesome, clicking on links today I somehow arrived at Shimelle website and loved the projects and faster that I´m saying it I started making the I have to confess book, it was fun and I had a blast making it, it calls for 6x4 pictures but I decided to use wallet size to have extra space and I love how it looks it took me all afternoon but thats cause I stopped to eat lunch and recharge the mojo.

I´m double happy cause I only used things that I had in my stash nothing new or bought for the project, all of the stuff I used was pretty old and it feels good to see it looking nice in an album, there are several pages so I made a little slide so the post is not huge and also you can see them and read the journaling on My flickr page My confession book.

2Peas Challenge:
Describe one of your birthdays as a young child

The one I remember the most was when I was 5 since my birthday is ver close to Halloween (oct 28) my mom made me a Halloween birthday and I dressed up as a black cat and I remember it was a lot of fun, here in Mexico you get of course a piñata and the food for parties is typically a little tamale, some spaguetti a little roll filled with cheese and a slice of cake and is a total delicacy that your cake frosting touches the tamale and you eat the salty tamale with frosting, I still do it when I can lol.

Hope everybody has a great week and the weather gets warmer where is really cold and cooler where is really hot, take care and be safe.
