This is something I made for my best friend a couple of months ago, it wasn´t her birthday or any special date, I made it for her because I thought it will cheer her up and make her feel good and it did, she loved it, she is a huge Hello Kitty fan so this is perfect for her, I loved making her feel happy and being nice always has that reward.


Esto es algo que le hice a mi mejor amiga hace un par de meses, no era su cumpleaños, ni ninguna fecha en especial, se lo hice por que pense que la haría sentir bien, y así fué, le encantó, ella es una fan de Hello Kitty y esto fué perfecto para ella, quedé tan contenta al hacerla sentir feliz, ser amable siempre tiene esa recompensa.

A color challenge...

Un reto de color...

Rosie-Dee´s Challenge is one of my favorite challenge blogs and is having a DT call, so I made something for them to take me into consideration ( I should be soo lucky).

Rosie-Dee´s Challenges (Rosie-Dee Retos) es uno de mis blogs de retos favoritos y está teniendo una búsqueda de ED (Equipo de Diseño), así que hice algo para que me tomen en consideración (ojala tuviera tanta suerte).

The challenge was to mae something with the colors turquoise and brown, yummy combination until I realized I lack turquoise materials, still I searched and searched and found somethings and some other I added some color and voilá my challenge was done!

El reto era hacer algo con los colores turquesa y café, deliciosa combinación, hasta que me dí cuenta que no tengo materiales en color turquesa, aún asi busque y busque y encontré algo y otras cosas las volví color turquesa y voilá mi reto estaba listo!


I made this heart box since I am hooked on altering them and love how it looks, I think it looks romantic and sweet. Hope Rosie and Dee like it enough so I can be on the DT, no pressure though, just saying it would be awesome!

Hice esta cajita en forma de corazón por que estoy enviciada haciendolas y me encanta como se ve, creo que es romántica y dulce. Espero que a Rosie y Dee les guste lo suficiente para permitirme estar en el ED, sin presión eh, solo digo que sería fabuloso.

This week was really lazy mostly because it´s been soo super hot and we want to be still so we don´t sweat, hope everybody is having great weather and enjoying summer.

Esta semana la tuvimos un poco floja por que el calor ha estado terrible y queremos estar quietas para no sudar tanto, espero que donde esten haya buen tiempo y esten disfrutando de el verano.

Boxes, boxes and more boxes....

Cajas, cajas y más cajas...

I think I posted before that I love altering boxes, it relaxes me and lets me go, I´ve noticed that when I have a lot to think about (like last couple of days) I alter boxes.....by the ton.

Creo que ya había comentado con anterioridad que me encanta alterar cajas, me relaja y me ayuda a dejarme ir y he notado que cuando tengo mucho que pensar (como en días pasados) altero cajas.... por montones.

Exhibit A: Nesting boxes for Diana - I bought these super cheap boxes at Parisina (local craft and fabric store) and I thought about altering them for Diana, so I asked what theme and surprise she said: cats. So here they are, she picked vintage images from cats and I printed them and use them for the boxes, in addition they also have some bling and stickles.

Prueba A: Cajas Apilables para Diana - compré estas cajas super baratas en Parisina (tienda local de manualidades y telas) y en seguida pensé en alterarlas para ella, así que como siempre, le pregunté qué tema quería y "sorpresa", dijo gatos. Pues aqui lss tiene. Escogió unas imágenes vintage, divinas, de gatos y las imprimí y usé en las cajas; además, tienen bling y stickles.

Exhibit B: My oh my is Hello Kitty: I´m not a huge Hello Kitty fan, I mean I like her but I´m not crazy about her but my friend Julia is, she also loves pink all kinds of pink even Pepto Bismol pink, and her house is decorated in blush and bashful (pink and pink) if you don´t remember who Julia is this post can refresh your memory. So since I tend to like her a lot I made this for her, no other reason but that she is crazy and I love her.

Prueba B: ¡Oh, Dios mío! ¡Es Hello Kitty! No soy una gran fan de Hello Kitty; me gusta pero no vuelvo loca por ella. Pero mi amiga Julia sí lo es, y también le encanta el color rosado: todos tipos de rosado, incluyendo el rosado Pepto Bismol (su casa esta decorada en tono blush y palo de rosa, o sea, rosa y rosa). Si no se acuerdan quién es Julia este post les va a refrescar la memoria. Así que como me cae muy bien le hice este juego de escritorio, sin ninguna otra razón más que está loca y la quiero mucho.

Exhibit C: The pink jewelry box for ???: I made this last night, I used Basic Grey paper to alter this box and is going to be for a very special friend who reads this blog so I can´t tell. Hope she likes it. Again tons of stickles and please check out the little feet in the box, that is a first for me and I´m so proud I did it. Diana is going to make some quilling embellishments to go on the top of the box and then is going to be covered with a glass to protect it. I totally looove this box.

Prueba C: El joyerito rosado para ????: Alteré esta cajita anoche con papel de Basic Grey y va a ser para una amiga muy especial que lee este blog, así que no puedo decir aún. Espero le guste. De nuevo, utilicé mucho stickles y, por favor, chequen las patitas de la cajita; es la primera vez que hago eso y estoy super orgullosa. Diana me va a ayudar a hacer unos adornitos de quilling que van a ir en la parte de arriba y va a cubrirse de cristal para protegerlo. ¡Me fascina esta cajita!

So that's what I´ve been up to this last days, really crafty. Tomorrow I´m going to do some more crafts since is a holiday and we can always use some craft time.

Also I have a huge project for Diana's birthday and that is to redecorate our scraproom/workshop in time for her birthday so I have 4 and a half months to finish and that is not going to be enough time believe me!

Así que esto es lo que he estado haciendo los estos últimos dias; mañana voy a hacer manualidades ya que es día inhábil y puedo usar un ratito para ponerme creativa.

También tengo un super proyecto para el cumpleaños de Diana y es redecorar el scraproom/taller a tiempo para su cumpleaños, para lo cual tengo sólo 4 meses y medio para terminar y, créanme, eso no es suficiente tiempo.

Rainbow crafts!

Isn´t it funny that I love rainbows and had never ever made any sort of rainbow styled craft? Well, that is in the past because last week at the request of my cousin Adriana, who owns a Pride store here in town, I made a few rainbow themed things.

¿No les parece gracioso que me encanten los arcoiris pero nunca haya hecho ningún tipo de manualidad con esa temática? Bueno, eso fue en el pasado, porque la semana pasada, a pedido de mi prima Adriana, que tiene una tienda Pride aquí, en Mérida, hice algunas cosas con tema del arcoiris.

This is a set of cards I made with felt hearts cut with my Sizzix machine (that I love!) pp from DCWV and white cardstock, a little glitter and some ribbon I had in my stash.

Estas son una serie de tarjetas que hice con corazones de fieltro, cortados con mi Sizzix (que amo!), papel de DCWV y Bristol blanca, un poquito de glitter y listón que tenia entre mis materiales.
And here I made a journal, a little explosion box and a Maze Book. All with rainbow theme and most of them made only with cardstock and stuff I already had.

Aqui hice un diario, una cajita de explosión y un libro de laberinto. Todos con temática de arcoiris y la mayoria hechos solo con cardstock y cosas que ya tenía a la mano.

Right now I´m making inchies. These are some I made a little while ago for a swap and the theme is animals. Right now I´m making some with Love theme and Birthday.

Ahora estoy haciendo inchies, los cuales son cuadritos de exactamente 1"x 1" y los decoras con un tema; estos son de animales y los que estoy haciendo ahorita son de amor y cumpleaños.

And last a serious case of altering stuff addiction... I altered my shoes! I cut some fabric scraps with my Sizzix skull die and hearts and did that. I love how they look!

Y ya de último, un serio caso de adicción a alterar cosas.... alteré mis zapatos! Corté unos retazos de tela con mi dado de Calavera de Sizzix, y corazones, e hice eso. ¡Me encanta cómo se ven!
