Feels like I´ve done so much and have done actually so little!! Well been staying a bit away from the internet wich actually feels good the only thing I miss is reading my blogs but well sometimes are more important stuff than that you know, and this week has been a very intense week.
We went to watch "La Mome" wich is the life of french singer Edith Piaf and I can not tell you how much that movie moved me, Marion Cotillard the girl that portrays her is simply STUNNING as EP! Oh wow the songs were so beutiful and I feel so silly for not learning french when I could, thats a good project for the future!
Well specially one of the songs "Je net regret rien" touched me because it talks about how at the end nothing matters, whatever good or bad happens to you is over and you have your memories and what you lived, your choices, your decisions etc and it inspired me to make this layout that is also Challenge #4 for the DreamGirls.
I love how it looks, I put some glitter to accent parts of the patterned paper and used only the title of the song and lyrics to frame my picture, oh I am so hooked on that song I´m almost learning it and I don´t even speak french! The second layout I made this week was about our nephew Eduardo and how he always answers to everything you ask him with a HUH? Drives us nuts so I made a layout about it lol!
I stamped the solid color paper and doodle with some crayons and used the dotted pp in the middle and printed the same picture three times but all with different effects.Last but not least I made this layout about 10 min ago, Diana gave me a challenge today and it was to make a layout about someone else other than me, her or our cats lol, use cardstock, aluminum, plastic and no internet for inspiration.
And here it is, the flowers are aluminum from soda cans punched and covered in melted crayon, the plastic are the buttons, cardstock, is about my grandma, not used the internet and also used tape so I could submit it to The Dares as well, I like how it looks the picture is terrible but thats because of the lack of light here. The little goodie favors were a complete success and would make them in a heartbeat so easy and so much fun to make!
And also happy day my goodies from The Crafty Cafe arrived and they are sooo awesome, we were gaga over them such pretty papers, thank you soo much Jess you simply outidid yourself really!
Have a great week everybody and tomorrow I´ll be posting a fun quiz with some blog candy included so you don´t want to miss that!
