I keep them in the magazines in a magazine rack. I would love to tear the pages away and just keep what I´m going to use, but the other crafter of the house refuses to even think about doing such a thing. Finding scrapbooking or cardmaking magazines in Mexico is so difficult that the few we have we take great care of them.
But then what happens is that we forget where we saw this or that and we have to go trough a dozen magazines to find such and such project.
What I usually do is tape some post it with the name of the project showing on the top so we can spot it easily, that works ok and doesn´t harm any magazines.
