Mis podcasts favoritos

Lets start with: What is a podcast? A podcast is a series of digital computer files, usually either digital audio or video, that is released periodically and made available for download by means of web syndication. (Thank you Wiki)

Empecemos con: ¿Qué es un podcast? Un podcast es una serie de archivos digitales ,usualmente de audio o video, que son publicados periódicamente y están disponibles para download en algún tipo de servidor (eso dice Wiki).

I subscribe to a lot of podcasts trough iTunes, but you can use other methods and find other podcasts googling them, and if you dont have a mp3 player to downloaded with you can most of the time enjoy it from the website.

Yo estoy suscrita a muchos podcasts a través de iTunes, pero pueden usar otros métodos para encontrarlos, simplemente consultando con Google, y si no tienen un mp3 player para escucharlos la mayoría se pueden disfrutar desde la página web.

I´m going to share with you my 5 favorite podcasts:

Voy a compartir con ustedes mis 5 podcasts favoritos. Mis disculpas, todos, son en inglés, si se topan con podcasts de manualidades en español, diganme, ¡que yo no encuentro ninguno!

1. Craftypod: This is the only one of my favorites that is not video. And you know what? Sister Diane makes it so enjoyable, informative and fun that you wont even miss the fact that you can´t see it, if you can go and listen to all of the podcasts they are full of information and I guarantee you will enjoy them.

La Hermana Diane lo hace tan entretenido, divertido e informativo que no van a extrañar el hecho de que no lo pueden ver; vayan y escuchen todos su podcasts, están llenos de información y les garantizo que los van a disfrutar.

2. Lets Knit Together: I´m a wannabe knitter, I haven´t been able to finish a single product worth wearing, but every time I watch Cat I swear, she makes knitting eeeaaasy, I love the quality, the atmosphere and the great tips she shares, if you are into knitting, go check it out fall in love with the videopodcast she visits all sorts of cool places and has tons of knowledge to share.

2. Lets Knit Together: Soy una wannabe de tejedora, no he podido terminar un producto digno de usarse, pero cada vez que veo a Cat les juro, ella hace que el tejido se vea fáaacil; me encanta la calidad, la atmósfera y los maravillosos tips que comparte. Si les gusta tejer vayan, enamórense de su videopodcast; ella visita muchos lugares padrísimos y tiene mucho conocimiento para compartir.

3. Fork You!: This videopodcast is not only yummy is also super funny, watching Scott and Marissa cook is so much fun I sometimes find myself giggling, if you don´t like cooking they are going to make you like it and if you do they have great tips and awesome recipes.

3. Fork You!: Este videopodcast no solo es delicioso, también es divertidísimo; ver a Scott y Marissa cocinar es tan gracioso, que muchas veces me doy cuenta que me estoy riendo sola. Si no te gusta la cocina ellos van a hacer que te guste y si te gusta tienen grandes tips y maravillosas recetas.

4. Fiskars Tv: I love Fiskars products, so a videopodcast showcasing them is of course going to be one of my favorites, in these podcasts you can see a ton of different things to do, from scrapbooking to home decor and they make it fun, fast and give a freebie at the end, I mean what is not to like, plus you can see your favorite Fiskateers (I saw you Angela!!).

4. Fiskars Tv: Amo los productos Fiskars, así que un videopodcast mostrándolos tiene que ser de mis favoritos. En estos podcast puedes ver muchas cosas diferentes desde scrapbooking hasta decoración del hogar; y lo hacen divertido, rápido y dan freebies al final, o sea, ¿Qué no les puede gustar? Además, puedes ver a tus Fiskateers favoritas (¡¡te ví Ángela!!).

5. Scraptime: I had to leave my favorite for last, I´ve been watching Scraptime since the first episode, is my first videopodcast to watch, the one I daily look for updates, and my go to for doubts, because simply I trust what Christine says, if she likes it then is good if she says it doesn´t work, I don´t even go near it, I like that first of all is relliable: I know I´ll have at least a couple episodes a week, I love how much she shares of herself, tecniques, her style everything, plus she has the most adorable daughter If you are a scrapbooker go and enjoy her blog, then come back and tell me how good it was!

5. Scraptime: Tenía que dejar mi favorito para el final; he estado viendo Scraptime desde el primer episodio. Este es mi principal videopodcast para ver, el cual a diario busco actualizaciones, y a donde voy, si tengo dudas, simplemente porque confío en lo que Christine dice; si le gusta es bueno; si dice que no funciona, ni siquiera me acerco a eso. Me encanta que es confiable: sé que al menos dos veces por semana van a haber episodios nuevos, me encanta cómo comparte acerca de su vida, técnicas nuevas y su estilo. Además, tiene a la niña más adorable del mundo. ¡Si haces scrapbooking, ve y disfruta su blog; luego regresa y dime qué tan bueno es!

All of these podcasts I download them trough iTunes, but you can go to their websites and see the other options, if you have a favorite podcast let me know I´m always on the lookout for stuff to watch or listen to.


Todos estos podcasts los bajo a través de iTunes, pero pueden ir a sus páginas web y ver las otras opciones; si tienen un podcast favorito, díganme, siempre ando en la búsqueda de nuevas cosas para ver o escuchar... especialmente si hay alguno en español.

This is what I did today...

Esto hice hoy...

French vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, with pink, green, blue and yellow buttercream frosting, ohh and edible confetti, for my friend Julia.

Cupcakes de vainilla francesa y chocolate con cubierta de buttercream en rosa, verde, azul y amarillo ahh y con confeti comestible para mi amiga Julia.

P.S. Before people and PETA say I put Ralphie in danger for letting him eat sugar and red coloring I have to say, he only licked a little bit of frosting, besides he eats bugs and lizards, believe me a little frosting is nothing for him.

P.D. Antes que la gente y PETA digan que pongo a Ralphie en peligro por dejarlo comer azúcar y colorante rojo, tengo que decir que sólo lamió un poquito de la cubierta; ¡además come bichos y lagartijas! Créanme, un poco de frosting es nada para él.

The sweet part of Christmas

One thing you probably don´t about me is that I love to cook and bake etc, I don´t do it much cause well I´m creative in some other ways, but I really do like the process of baking and measuring the ingredients and then the yummy result.

Every year we give Christmas cookies to our friends and family, is something we enjoy doing (even if by the end we are exhausted) and I think they like them too, this year our cookie "repertoire" included:

• Oreo Balls
• Coconut Macaroons
• Paula Deen´s Cheese Fudge
• Pepermint Bark
• And a few sugar cookies

Some of the ingredients to make oreo balls. I think Oreo Balls are so easy and fun to make and once you get the hang of them they are a blast to make.

This is the making balls process, I know mine are not that round but once you cover them in chocolate it you don´t even notice it.

Oreo Balls finished and I put a bit of shreded coconut on top and used the little gold paper cups.

Coconut macaroons are not my favorite thing to do at all, my mix was runny, they would not bake and they were simply not fun at all, I managed to save a few of them but really not trying that again unless I find a video of how they should be done or someone comes and shows me how!

The cheese fudge is Diana´s favorite is super easy to make and very yummy, the ones that have tried it really like it, I love Paula Deen´s recipes.

This is the pepermint bark and that was the easiest one to do, basically melt chocolate, and crush candy and thats it, and is super good.

We made 15 plates and 15 baggies, this is what the baskets looked at the end.

And this is a baggie.

Last but not least, I really didn´t have time to do some proper tags so this ones by K& Company from their Swell Noel collection worked awesome I simply but some bling or stickles and that was it, the name was stamped with a basic office stamp that you can make your own phrases.

So now we´ve been delivering them and hoping they enjoy them and makes them have a sweet Christmas, to the ones that will get one hope you like them and know we made them with tons of love, care and above all chocolate.
