Echos of NSD

NSD was a lot of fun around this parts, as I mentioned before we hosted a crop at our office (Diana´s and mine) since it has the perfect room, lighting and location and our boss is cool with it so it worked out perfect.

I made some goodie bags for our croppers and they were all gone, they had some diecuts, chipboard, ribbon, eyelets, sequins, and other fun stuff and I made them at 1 am on friday so probably thats why they could have looked better, but I like them, they are in spanish but they say "Happy Scrapbooking Day" and my blog address, Diana says there is no such thing as bad publicity lol.

(Goodie bags)

(Goodie bags, detail)

When we get together to crop honestly we don´t do much, we carry a ton of stuff and spread out in all the tables, touch everything but then finish pretty much with nothing done and I´m happy to say that yesterday everybody finished what they brought to do.

Doris made this cute banner, yes I have one similar, hers looks super chic cause it has glittered chipboard letters, me I´m poor I only had cut out letters lol.

Liz also made a banner but we forgot to take a pic because her stickles were wet and we didn´t want to mess with it, it looks super pretty too.

Diana finished a couple of cards that look super cute, they only need the finishing touches and I, well I didn´t finish anything but got started in a couple of albums.

(My pink and black I´m weird album lol)

This album is made with a little chipboard children´s book that I bought super cheap and still don´t know what is going to be but I like it!

Our favorite thing to use right now:
(Artistic shot to Liz stickles, Stickles we love you don´t ever leave us)

Then Liz brought the yummiest Potato souffle (sp?) and it was gooood! Perfect for a cropping session.

(Is that yummy or what?!)

It´s so much fun to see how we know a lot more than when we started about 3 years ago, how we work better, not afraid of making so many mistakes, and just plain confortable, I had a blast we got home after 5 a little tired but happy we had an awesome NSD.

I wanted to ask to the ones that take pictures of your layouts to post. Just how do you do it? Like where do you prop it so it looks good? The best result I´ve had is a corkboard at the office, I might get one for here just for that, I refuse to scan because I´m really bad at stitching it together so if you have any advice how to make your layout photograph better please let me know.

Have a great sunday and thanks for the nice comments about the blog, I love how it looks too.

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like you had a great day of scrapping - and that potato is making my mouth water!!

When I photograph my LOs, I just stand above them, either place them on the floor, or on a table and stand on a chair... then get as much of the LO in the viewfinder as I can... try and photograph in indirect natural light, rather than lights, but that doesn't worry me too much... which reminds me, I had a scrappy weekend, must go and share!!
